I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics & Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University. I am also a Research Fellow at the IZA - Institute of Labor Economics. My primary research areas are labor economics and the economics of education.

My current research reflects two major lines. The first focuses on evaluating labor market policies (e.g., unemployment insurance and the minimum wage). The second line of research examines policies or labor market conditions that impact the process of human capital accumulation, such as the labor market for teachers.
